Bush Plane Fly Out Fishing Trip To Beluga Lake, Triumvirate Glacier, Mount Spurr Alaska
We had an awesome fly out trip to Beluga Lake Alaska this last week. This isn’t the Beluga Lake in the Kenai Peninsula. It is the Beluga Lake across the inlet from Anchorage. We we’re flown out by Sportsman’s Air Service in Anchorage. We had a great time flying with them, and their pilots were great! Here is their website… http://www.alaskasport.com/ . It was my first time flying on a bush plane, and I am so excited to say that I saw a bear walking around below us in the forest.
They flew us to their fishing camp on Beluga Lake. I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially since it was in the middle of nowhere. But I was blown away. They had a cabin for 4 that all of my kids slept in. Then they had 2 other separate cabins with 2 beds in each one. They have an outdoor covered kitchen area with the utensils you need. We had fun going out fishing on the few boats they have. We headed across the lake to the water coming into the lake, and we caught loads of salmon. The salmon are so abundant that you can watch them swimming around under your boat.
The weather was absolutely unbelievable. We had beautiful sunsets every night, and we ended the day with a fire on the beach. In the middle of nowhere Alaska, they even had a shower cabin, and it was nice!
Lets talk about the views for a moment. S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G! You look out your cabin window and see Triumvirate Glacier and Mount Spurr. You really can’t ask for a better location then this!
We had such a good time on this trip, that I can’t even wait to go again. Just in case you are wondering, this isn’t sponsored at all. This was a trip that my in laws planned, and it was amazing. Lots of great memories were made, and now I really want to own a cabin in the woods on a lake. I really do think it’s worth it to pay the money for an unbelievable trip like this one.
